Shiner Hard
Seltzer Concept
Shiner Beer and Spoetzl Brewery had plans to launch “Straight Shooter,” a straightforward, transparent, and delicious craft brewed hard seltzer made from a few simple ingredients. The meaning of the phrase, “Straight Shooter,” means “an honest person,” or “a plain talker.”
I wanted to emulate the meaning of the brand name with a design that was as forthright as possible, while still remaining uniquely Texan. I arrived at a simple and typographic solution, in which I wrote each can it’s own candid and humorous Texan aphorism. (Rejected concept, Created at RBMM, Art Direction: Jeff Barfoot)
